Have you heard about the British Knitting Awards from Lets Knit magazine? It’s a change to vote for your favourite yarn, shop, etc. Well I have voted, but I thought I’d ramble on a bit on here about some of my favourites, firstly online yarn shops. Voting for a favourite is difficult because I like different ones for different reasons, so I’ve picked three and given the reasons why for each, I live in the UK so have chosen British yarn shops.
Deramores: For their speed of service, seriously you can order something at 3 in the afternoon and it often arrives before 10 the next morning, if you really need a ball of yarn or some needles quick, then this is definitely the place to go.
Love Knitting: For their great range of yarn and the fact that they sell American yarns that are difficult to get here, like Blue Sky Alpacas and Berroco, they are also great at sending out their parcels quickly.
Wool Warehouse: For great value, one of my favourite go to yarns is cascade 220 and they sell it for £4.99 a skein, which is a lot cheaper than most other places in the UK.
Will also add that both love knitting and wool warehouse post out their yarn in lovely parcels too, this arrived today from wool warehouse, not just a packaging bag but also a drawstring net bag!
